  Many people know Pentecost as the day the Holy Spirit came, but Pentecost is more than a church celebration. Pentecost teaches us how to live empowered lives in difficult times.

  We celebrate Pentecost because it marks the day the Holy Spirit came upon the believers and empowered the Church to begin its mission in the world.

  The disciples were fearful, confused, and uncertain after Jesus ascended. But when the Holy Spirit came, everything changed.
