The Influence of a Fathers
Introduction:
Father's Day is more than a cultural holiday. It is an opportunity to reflect on God's gift of fatherhood and the important role fathers play in families, churches, and communities.
The Bible presents God as a loving Father who cares for, protects, disciplines, provides for, and guides His children. Earthly fathers are called to model these same characteristics.
Not everyone has experienced a positive relationship with their father. Some may have lost their fathers, experienced absence, or suffered hurt. Yet God's perfect fatherhood offers hope, healing, and a model of unconditional love.
Key Scripture: (Psalm 103:13) "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him."
Where are You?
Introduction:
One of the first questions God asks in the Bible is, "Where are you?" God was not asking because He did not know Adam's physical location. God is omniscient and knows all things. This was a spiritual question designed to make Adam examine his condition and relationship with God.
